Gabrielle Ginér joined the University of Oxford in October 2025 to lead a global programme strengthening collaboration on climate policy engagement and advocacy. Her work focuses on driving coordinated climate action, researching and writing on effective policy engagement strategies. Before joining Oxford, Gabrielle spent 16 years at BT Group, where she led the company’s strategy, thought leadership, and advocacy programmes on environmental sustainability and net zero.

Her work included developing BT’s 1.5°C science‑based target, creating its product and service carbon‑abatement methodology, and leading on the development of the company’s first climate transition plan. She also co‑founded the UK Electric Fleets Coalition with the Climate Group and managed various supply chain initiatives on sustainability.

Gabrielle has held several external appointments, including Chair of ICC UK’s Sustainability Committee, board member of the Joint Alliance for CSR, and Chair of a UNFCCC advisory panel.
